Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, known for the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. In the 1980s when she started her acting career, and was famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. As a young child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she began to learn how to dance. When she was young, she started acting but had a difficult time as a majority of her films were flops. She finally found success, and then went on to be one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a pause from her acting career. The actress returned in later years. Recently, she played an important part on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Also, she has earned a name for social activism.
